正是梅湘百年壽辰紀念集的加錄碟。最後一首的確非常易聽，一反梅湘嚇人的常態。
Shostakovich: Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk / Myung-Wha Chung
- 四平八穩… 不甚刺激哦。早期 DGG 4D 的錄音都是這樣的，乾淨都有點可怕…
Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 2; Ravel: Piano Concerto in G Yundi Li / Seiji Ozawa
- 果然是脫胎換骨的演繹，非常有力。兩首樂曲對比強烈，正好表現到李雲迪既具活力、也具詩意的文武兼備。
An Evening with PDQ Bach (1807-1742?)
- 期待新碟之前，先聽 1965 年的首場 PDQ Bach 音樂會，準備心情聽以後才有的爆笑經典。
Messiaen: Vingt régards sur l’enfant Jésus, played by Yvonne Loriod
- 1975年錄音，Apex 再版。不算罕有，但這套大作，畢竟是由梅湘寫給 Loriod 的，這是不可或缺的錄音。
﹣ 終於購得唱片，最重要的是：有歌詞。迪華特指揮的一眾人等，正是首演的表演者，這是經典的錄音。
Brahms: Ein deutsches Requiem (London version on a piano reduction)
- 把它當成室樂版，勾劃出布拉姆斯聲部的線條美就，樂團縮成了雙鋼琴，卻不像一首交響曲的 reduction。
Brahms: Symphony No. 1; London Philharmonic Orchestra / Marin Alsop
- 不知是心理作用還是甚麼… 為甚麼少了份布拉姆斯式的陽剛氣？不過還是不要少看女人，他的演繹還是柔中帶勁的。
Music for String Sextet / Artemis Quartet, members of the Alban Berg Quartet
- 室樂版的《昇華之夜》，格外感受到演奏者間的交流，是弦樂團版大型的聲音陣與別不同的經驗，不過卻同樣感動。（為何封面有點像《六尺風雲》的 opening flip…?)
Richard Strauss: Elektra; Birgit Nilsson, Leonie Rysanek, Met/Levine
- 為甚麼鼓掌可以有十五分鐘長？聽聽 Nilsson 的高音 C，年屆高齡的 Elektra，但唱來只費吹灰之力，就將聽的人都吹走了。
Stravinsky: Firebird and Petrushka. Kirov Ballet.
- 聲帶沙也不要緊，但為甚麼好像低音了一點…？
Mahler Symphony No. 8, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra / Antoni Wit
- 媲美伯恩斯坦的密度，Accende 尤為感動。

那張《Gustav Mahler: Detaching from the World》DVD，在店子見過，很想買，但當時卻不太捨得，放棄了。
這DVD的影像內容是什麼呢？
還是直接買 Uri Caine 的同曲CD好了？

我也是不捨得的。後來在友人家中開了他的那張，並且一起看了… 作為馬勒的擁護者，你看到馬勒呆過的地方，Maiernigg、Toblach，甚至是出生的市鎮。對於沒有機會親自去一趟，看看片中的風景、感受那種矛盾的寧靜，其實很賞心。
我從來都沒有過一張 Uri Caine (!)，這是很好的選擇哩。

I have recently purchased Martin Zehn’s set of “Vingt regards”, which to me is truly moving. Speaking of Messiaen, for this semester I may be able to produce a performance of his Quartet for the End of Time at MIT; but it all depends on whether I can spot a good enough clarinetist!
